Hi there!

At age nine, I began my programmer’s journey by learning Basic on my father's antique Commodore VIC-20. What began as a pleasant outlet for father-son bonding time gradually blossomed into a place to explore new ideas and create projects (think a basic calculator and primitive text-based adventures). I later became serious about my studies as a musician, and the world of computers that I had immersed myself in was temporarily put to the wayside.

While pursuing a degree in music at the University of Michigan, I managed to sneak in some courses in object oriented programming, discrete math, and calculus. Coding was a big part of my college experience, what I did when I probably should have been practicing! While in school I was lucky enough to merge my passion for music and software through an internship with the New York Philharmonic and the NYU Steinhardt School, where I designed and built my first-ever web application.

I recently graduated from the General Assembly Software Immersive, where I honed the hard skills necessary to develop full stack web applications. Through this course, I (re)discovered that I am in love with debugging pesky backend code when it breaks! There’s something about the grind of discovery that keeps me motivated to continue creating and growing in this field.
